TCSV4: SMT Micro-Miniature Tactile Switch with Side-Actuator

The TCSV4 from SCHURTER is a tactile switch designed for applications with limited installation space. Measuring just 4.5 × 2.25 × 2.6 mm, it is ideally suited for compact PCBs and portable electronic devices.

As a PCB edge-mount component, it protrudes no more than 1.0 mm beyond the edge of the circuit board. To accommodate different operating concepts, it is available with actuation forces of 1.6 N and 3.2 N, as well as with either a standard or L-shaped shield.

High Service Life
The switch is suitable for reflow soldering and is designed to withstand temperatures of up to 260 °C for a maximum of five seconds. The electrical switching range is 2 to 12 VDC at 10 µA to 50 mA. A service life of 200,000 actuations, a contact resistance of 200 mΩ maximum, after life testing, maximum 100 mΩ as initial contact resistance, and an insulation resistance of more than 100 MΩ ensure reliable operation. The operating temperature range is -40 °C to +85 °C. The IP40 protection rating allows the switch to be used in a wide variety of environments.

Typical applications include digital cameras, audio players, sports headphones, Bluetooth accessories, and health-monitoring devices. The TCSV4 is RoHS- and REACH-compliant. It is supplied in Tape & Reel packaging with 2500 pieces per packaging unit.
